O’Hehirs are leading the field with their range of Irish Gluten Free Products.
Recognising a widespread need for these products in 2013, O’Hehirs researched and developed their range for two years before finally launching it in June 2015, with the range exclusively available in their stores.
All products are handmade and produced in a separate building to their main bakery, which is incredibly important for Coeliac's or anyone experiencing any level of gluten intolerance. Products include Vienna breads, bread rolls, chocolate and coffee gateauxs and brownie and raspberry bakewell slices.
Feedback from customers on quality and price has been hugely positive. In fact, the only issue is keeping them in stock. Some customers travel from around Ireland to our shops to stock up monthly, so people are encouraged to call ahead and book their orders in advance, in order to avoid disappointment.
O’Hehir’s range was recently given a wonderful review by Irish food blogger ‘Gluten Free Cailin’. “Boy was I impressed… What was great about the breads was that they had a lovely soft texture and didn’t taste mealy like a lot of gluten free breads can…The cake selection was equally delicious and when shared out amongst a number of friends and family, they wouldn’t have known they were gluten free unless I had told them. For me the raspberry bakewell slices were the real stars of the show – moist, moreish and not at all crumbly.”

O’Hehirs Gluten Free products are certified Gluten Free by the public laboratory at University College Hospital Galway. In April, all products were also listed on the Coeliac Society of Ireland Food List for 2016. New products will be launched later this year.
