What is sourdough?
Sourdough is naturally leavened bread, which uses a special “starter” to rise – a fermented flour and water mixture that contains wild yeast and good bacteria. This also produces the tangy flavour and slightly chewy texture you’ll find in sourdough.
There’s a lot of information available about benefits, nutrition and digestibility of sourdough bread, and we’d like to share this knowledge with you going forward.
